The film easily snagged the top spot on the Nielsen
VideoScan First Alert sales chart for the week ending July 22,
handily beating the horror sequel "The Hills Have Eyes 2." "Premonition" also topped Home Media Magazine's video
rental chart for the same week, generating an estimated $7.3
million in rental revenue, compared with $4.7 million for
"Hills 2," which bowed at No. 2. ("Premonition" earned $47.9
million in theaters, and "Hills 2" $20.8 million.) The previous week's top seller, "The Last Mimzy," dropped
to No. 4, with another former champ, "Shooter," at No. 3. On the high-definition disc charts, "Premonition" was the
top Blu-ray Disc seller for the week, while "Planet Earth: The
